FAQ

How much is a class?

Use the drop down menu here to find a location near you.  You'll find the cost of the class once you click on a location.

What do I need to bring to class?

Not a thing.  We'll send you notes after class, so you don't even need a notebook or a pen.  Also; please don't bring a knife from home to the sushi class. (Yes; it has happened)

What is the age limit for attendees?

We don't like to set a limit, but the rule for all students is simple:  If you can attend class and not be disruptive to the rest of the students, you're welcome.  Unruly children and drunk adults will 100% be asked to leave.

What if I have an allergy?

Just let us know via email the day before the class.  This way, when we shop, we can ensure that you won't be exposed to an allergen.

Should we eat first?

At the beginning of class, you'll be served a snack from the chef.  At the end of class (around 8pm) you'll make a sushi roll of your own.  Please don't order food and have it delivered during the middle of class.  (Yes, this has happened; twice in 13 years and it was ridiculous both times)

Can I bring an underage person to a class at a brewery?

Yes; as long as they don't try to buy beer.

I want to have a house party.  How does that work?

Click here for more info on a sushi dinner party (eating only) or here for a sushi dinner party + sushi rolling.  Have a Blackstone (or similar), we offer a sushi + hibachi party, too!  You have to email us at alabamasushi@gmail.com to discuss potential dates.  Buying a class from the website does NOT guarantee that your preferred date is available.

We want to hire one of your sushi chefs to feed us while we're on vacation; do you do that?

We do have sushi chefs available from Mobile/Dauphin Island Alabama to Pensacola Florida, as well as in Charleston/Beaufort South Carolina areas. We specialize in bachelorette parties.  Sushi parties also available all over the southeastern USA w/travel fees applying.
